Alter Bridge é um supergrupo de metal alternativo/post-grunge dos Estados Unidos, formado em 2004 a partir da pausa da banda Creed. O nome faz referência a uma ponte na cidade natal do líder/guitarrista, Mark Tremonti, lugar que era sempre proibido de ir por sua mãe, fazendo alusão então a ir além dos limites impostos, tomar um outro rumo.
Os até então integrantes do Creed, Mark Tremonti (guitarrista) e Scott Phillips (baterista) juntaram-se a seu antigo companheiro, o baixista Brian Marshall, e com Myles Kennedy, ex-vocalista do The Mayfield Four para formar o Alter Bridge.
